No. A notarized power of attorney is not needed — our employee submits documents through the consulate's standard procedure.

Chinese Visa Without Personal Presence — How It Works in 2026
Most types of Chinese visas — tourist (L), business (M), family S2/Q2, short-term work Z, and student X2 — can be processed entirely remotely, without a trip to a visa center. You hand over your passport (via Nova Poshta, in person, or through our courier in Kyiv), we do everything else through our employee in Chișinău, and you receive the passport with the visa back. All you need to provide are three things: passport, digital photo, and a completed questionnaire.
Why Remote Processing Is Possible
The PRC consulate in Ukraine has not operated since March 2020. This means even for 'in-person submission,' you'll need to travel to another country anyway — most often Poland. A trip to Warsaw + 3–4 days of accommodation + return = at least ~€540 in expenses and a week of your time. China2Day solves this differently: our own employee works in Chișinău, personally submitting documents directly to the PRC consulate — without visa centers and without intermediaries. In Moldova, submission goes straight to the consulate. Over 12 years of operation, China2Day has processed more than 5,000 Chinese visas.
Who Remote Submission Fits
Most Chinese visa types don't require personal appearance at the consulate. The exception is long-term visas requiring biometrics.
- ✓ Tourist L visa — single and double entry
- ✓ Business M visa — single, double, and multi-entry
- ✓ Family Q2 — short-term for relatives of PRC citizens
- ✓ Family S2 — short-term for relatives of foreigners with permanent residence
- ✓ Short-term work Z — up to 30 days
- ✓ Student X2 — up to 180 days
- ✓ Exchange F and crew C visas
- ✗ Q1/S1 (180+ days), X1 (90+ days), long-term Z — biometrics required in person

How It Works — Two Processing Stages
The key advantage: processing is split into two stages, and we begin the first stage before we even receive your original passport.
- Stage 1 — Consulate online review (up to 4 business days): you send scans, we immediately fill the COVA application and upload it to the consulate system. Your original passport stays with you.
- Stage 2 — Original submission and visa stamping (4 business days): our employee in Chișinău personally submits documents directly to the PRC consulate. After 4 days — picks up the passport and ships it to you.
- Total: ~7–10 business days from sending scans to receiving the finished visa.
How to Hand Over the Passport — 3 Options
Choose the most convenient method:
- Nova Poshta (most popular) — you ship to the branch we specify in Kyiv. Insured valuable shipment. Works from anywhere in Ukraine.
- In-person in Kyiv — if you're in Kyiv, we agree on a convenient time and location.
- Our courier within Kyiv — courier comes to your address. Ideal for busy entrepreneurs.
Documents Required from You
Only 3 things from the client: passport (original, valid 6+ months, 2 blank pages), digital photo (white background, no glasses, colored top), and completed questionnaire (our template, 10–15 minutes). The COVA application (50+ fields), hotel and flight bookings, invitation preparation — we handle all of it. No notarized power of attorney needed.
What We Handle Ourselves
